Real wedding: Sarah and Dave

Please describe your wedding

We had a cosy and romantic, simple winter wedding in February. We got married in the village that Dave grew up and got married by the vicar who is also a family friend.

After the ceremony, we all crossed the street to the pub the White Hart for the reception, speeches, food and party! There were lots of fairy lights and spring flowers in burgundy and blush. I'm Canadian, Dave's English and we met in Hong Kong seven years ago so our tables were all named after special places to us. We also had a pub quiz and Dave's sister sang our first dance. We had guests come in from all over the world. It was so FUN!

What was your favourite part of the day?

I can't pick!! It was all amazing. I think because I'm Canadian, Dave's English and we met in Hong Kong and then live in London. It seemed surreal to have all the important people in our life be in one place for the weekend. The confetti shot was also pretty incredible - it was so windy and my veil blew away. Thank goodness my brother caught it.

What piece of advice would you give other couples?

It really does go by so quick!! Enjoy it all and if things go wrong on the day, don't sweat it - no one will notice but you and in the grand scheme of things…it doesn't matter!

Why did you fall in love with your dress?

It was so comfy and I really felt like myself in it. Plus the leg slit meant I could get fun shoes to show off.

What was your favorite part of shopping at Heart Aflutter?

How relaxed and fun it was. Veronika is also the best hype women.
